What Is An Emergency?
Seek emergency care or call us immediately in these situations:
Ingestion of antifreeze, rat poison, human medications, household cleaners, fertilizers, pesticides, toxic plants or harmful chemicals
- Trauma from a fall or being struck by a car
- Seizures
- Trouble breathing
- Lethargy, collapse or won't wake up
- Vomiting and/or diarrhea
- Broken bones
- Bleeding
- Blood in urine or feces
- Signs of pain, such as whining or shaking
- Disorientation or bumping into objects
- Overheating
- Swollen abdomen
- Has gone more than 3-4 hours between delivering puppies or kittens
- Strains or is unable to urinate
- Bite wounds
- Allergic reaction
